The IBP-PPLM Chapter honored Paranaque City Mayor Edwin L. Olivarez with a Gawad Katarungan during the IBP-Southern Luzon Regional Meeting. The IBP chapter and the region recognizes Mayor Olivarez’s commitment and support for the effective administration of justice and the legal aid to indigent litigants. The IBP-Southern Luzon Region representing 12 IBP Chapters met to discuss the important issues concerning the organization, the law profession and legal aid to indigent litigants. Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez graced the event as Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker. Held at the Okada Manila on 13 October 2018

The IBP-PPLM Community Legal Aid Service (CLAS) lawyers led by chapter Vice-President / Legal Aid Chair Florante Legaspi Jr. and PRO / Legal Aid Vice-Chair Danny Gapasin Jr. rendered free legal assistance to the indigent residents of Paranaque City. 6 October 2018
